A faculty member at the College of Pharmacy is lecturing in a training course on scientific digital image analysis

 Lecturer at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Labid Abdullah Al-Saad, have a lecture in the training course (Fundamentals of Working with the ImageJ Digital Image Analysis Program), which was held by the College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences at the University of Baghdad with the participation of researchers and specialists.

 The course included several lectures delivered by Al-Saad to train participants on how to install the program and run it on the computer, followed by a detailed explanation of the types of digital images and how they differ from regular images.

 Then he explained the mechanisms of analyzing digital images and extracting data and scientific measurements from them with very high accuracy, such as lengths, areas, volumes, counting colonies, analyzing Histopathology images and extracting accurate data from them.

  Depending on the chromatic analysis, which is very important in some common analyzes such as ELISA and Thin Layer Chromotography, as well as the analysis of Confocal Microscop images and their use in scientific studies

  The course was attended by nearly 100 participants from different parts of Iraq and the Arab world, including professors from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah
