At the outset, I would like to welcome you to the College of Pharmacy website, the bright window of our college to the virtual world and its distinguished visitors. I am proud to belong to this college as it is one of the modern and essential formations in the structure of the prestigious University of Basrah.

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah has been one of the leading colleges in Iraq since its establishment in 1999. It aims to prepare pharmacists as drug experts qualified to work in health institutions, community pharmacies, patient care, drug laboratories, pathological analysis laboratories, and pharmaceutical factories, as well as working in scientific offices for drug promotion and marketing. It also seeks to keep pace with scientific development and reach international standards in pharmaceutical education.

Furthermore, the college provides scientific consultations to relevant ministries, state institutions, and the private sector. It also prepares higher degree holders to supply Iraqi universities and community institutions with teaching staff and qualified experts in precise specialties. Scientific research in various pharmaceutical fields and the organization of conferences and seminars are among the priorities of this institution, working to link university education with global reality and application.

To maintain this leadership, the College of Pharmacy has adopted a sophisticated and updated scientific curriculum covering all specialized fields, with the provision of equipped laboratories and classrooms provided with the latest teaching methods. Believing in the importance of scientific research culture, the college has been keen on establishing specialized laboratories and enhancing research cooperation between the college and various other academic and health sectors.
