About the College of Pharmacy

University of Basrah - Founded 1999

The College of Pharmacy was established in **1999** within the University of Basrah due to the urgent need for competent pharmacists equipped with the scientific and technical skills to provide various pharmaceutical services. Today, the college stands parallel to international pharmacy colleges in terms of infrastructure, staffing, equipment, and its advanced 5-year academic curriculum.

Our Scientific Cadre

The college has flourished into a sophisticated institution with a diverse teaching staff of **138 members**, classified as follows:

A pivotal milestone was the launch of **Postgraduate studies** in the academic year 2016/2017, opening new horizons for scientific specialization. The college constantly seeks to expand its six accredited scientific branches and increase its pharmaceutical faculty through domestic and international scholarship programs.

"The college is actively pursuing investments to establish an educational pharmaceutical laboratory and a specialized unit for pharmaceutical and nutritional evaluation.
