Lecturers at the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah Dr. Munther Abdul-Jalil and Dr. Ikhlas Qanbar have published a paper entitled (SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION, ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY AND STRUCTURE-ACTIVITY RELATIONSHIPS: STUDY OF SOME MONO- AND DI-SCHIFF BASES) In the Brazilian journal, PERIÓDICO TCHÊ QUÍMICA (Impact Factor: 2.5 within the first quarter Q1 of the SCOPUS classification). The research included the preparation of some organic compounds and study of the efficacy of the prepared compounds against four types of isolated pathogenic fungi and the study of the relationship of the chemical composition to the biological activity of these prepared compounds. The aim of the research is to develop organic compounds by preparing their derivatives and giving them importance as promising drugs against fungi.
