The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah witnessed the launch of graduation research defenses for fifth-year students for the 2024-2025 academic year, with 77 research projects presented across various pharmaceutical disciplines.

Prof. Dr. Gibran Khalil Hassan, Dean of the College, emphasized that these defenses are the culmination of years of diligent research, noting the honoring of five outstanding projects in appreciation of students' scientific innovation.

The research projects varied across medicinal chemistry, pharmacognosy, and toxicology. Judging committees praised the quality of the outputs, with many suitable for publication in peer-reviewed journals, reinforcing the college's leadership in supporting innovation.
