Sports Activities | Pharmacy College Wins in Futsal Tournament:

The College of Pharmacy team at the University of Basrah secured third place in the finals of the University President's Futsal Cup. The tournament was organized by the Student Activities Department to celebrate the 61st anniversary of the university's founding.

The Head of the Student Activities Unit at the college, Dr. Sanaa Jawad Al-Mayyah, stated: "The College of Pharmacy futsal team participated in the finals held under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim. Our team rightfully earned third place, while student (Abdul-Aziz Naim) from the second stage won the Best Player award."

Dr. Al-Mayyah added: "During the halftime breaks, exhibition karate performances were presented by a group of gifted children from Basrah who are Asian champions in the sport. At the conclusion of the tournament, trophies, medals, and individual gifts were distributed to the winning teams. The Best Player award went to the College of Pharmacy, while the Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper awards were claimed by the College of Administration and Economics."
