The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah systematically organized a comprehensive media and awareness campaign specifically aimed at curbing the spread of the catastrophic drug phenomenon. This crucial initiative fundamentally aligns with strict ministerial directives firmly established to aggressively combat intrusive negative phenomena within society.

The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Gibran Khalil Hassan, strongly emphasized that the campaign actively included extensively distributing highly educational posters and informative brochures directly to the students. Furthermore, striking stickers and posters were visibly mounted throughout the college's corridors to vividly highlight the extreme severity of this phenomenon on society and the urgent necessity to combat it comprehensively utilizing all possible means.

Dr. Gibran progressively added: "We stand firmly shoulder-to-shoulder directly with the robust governmental directions through executing these effectively important steps carefully designed to educate our youth and all members of society, particularly the vulnerable student segment, about the devastating risks heavily caused by these intrusive phenomena fundamentally alien to our conservative Islamic societies.
