When evaluated on multi-turn interactions commonly encountered in the wild, current SFT models exhibit significant performance degradation, particularly in understanding complex constraints, maintaining logical consistency, and generating multi-turn dialogues with rich personalities. High-quality SFT data addresses this by providing structured, nuanced examples that steer the models toward producing more coherent and engaging text, thereby expanding their applicability and effectiveness across a wide range of tasks and domains. Hence, training on high-quality SFT data remains the cornerstone of developing LLMs. Currently, the primary approaches to dataset creation typically fall into three paradigms: % For human annotation, it requires significant labor and training costs, leading to problems such as long data acquisition cycles and difficulties in scaling data volume. For distillation from advanced models, the performance of the generated SFT data usually bounded to the model capacity limit. Thus improving individual model capacity to obtain higher-quality output text turns to be crucial. % For automatic model generation paradigm, due to the capacity limits of large models themselves, achieving qualitative breakthroughs in model responses through simple direct prompts is challenging without resorting to more complex generation workflows. % Currently, the primary approaches to collecting SFT data can generally be classified into three paradigms. 1) **Human creation**: Data is manually created by human experts or annotators. 2) **Extracting and cleaning from the Wild**: SFT data is sourced from real-world contexts, such as Open-Assistant \citep{kopf2024openassistant}, WildChat \citep{zhao2024wildchat}, ShareGPT \footnote{https://sharegpt.com/}, LMSYS-Chat \citep{zheng2023lmsyschat}, offering a wide variety of scenarios and user intents. 3) **Distillation from superior models**: Generative models, such as GPT-4, have fundamentally changed how people construct text instructions.
