Volunteer Activities | Afforestation Campaign on National Afforestation Day:

The Student Activities Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, organized a major volunteer campaign to plant the open spaces within the college campus, coinciding with the nationwide celebration of (National Afforestation Day).

The Head of the Student Activities Unit, Dr. Sanaa Jawad Al-Mayyah, explained: "We joyfully launched this green volunteer campaign with the active field participation of the Dean of the College and the Administrative Assistant, alongside a large number of dedicated students and staff members, specifically targeting the planting and greening of the open corridors within the college."

Dr. Al-Mayyah further added that this wonderful initiative officially comes in response to the specific directives issued by the (Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research) regarding the National Afforestation Day. Ultimately, this stems from the core belief in the utmost importance of properly maintaining a highly sustainable green environment, and beautifully surrounding the university campus with trees to organically provide a healthy natural atmosphere suitable for our dear students.
