As part of the community service initiatives at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, the Women's Empowerment Unit visited the Badrat Al-Khair Elementary School for Girls in the Al-Jazeera area of Shatt Al-Arab, providing them with essential educational materials and stationery.
The head of the unit, Lecturer Rawnak Thamer, stated: "We collected donations from the college's faculty and staff to equip the school with educational supplies for orphans and underprivileged students." She emphasized that this step is part of a comprehensive humanitarian and scientific work plan.
Thamer added: "This initiative is one of many community service activities. We firmly believe that our humanitarian and institutional duty requires us to actively support those in need and provide a suitable educational environment for them."
