Dialogue Session Titled "Migration is the Focus of Most of Our Concerns" Held at Al-Farahidi Street

The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Al-Farahidi Street Organizing Committee, organized a dialogue session titled "Migration is the Focus of Most of Our Concerns."

The session, moderated by Lecturer Najla Al-Saffar, head of the college's counseling unit, aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental effects of migration on the country and its human resources. Al-Saffar discussed the exploitation and luring of individuals into irregular migration, alongside other factors such as political instability and low living standards.

The session also addressed the "Brain Drain" phenomenon and how migration alters the cultural traditions of future generations. It emphasized the risks of losing ethical values in Western societies, highlighting that prosperity abroad does not substitute for the value of life in one's homeland.

The session concluded by warning of the extreme dangers of irregular migration, including the risk of death due to border closures, hunger, and harsh climate conditions during the perilous journey.
