Discussion Panel Held on "For a Drug-Free Homeland" in Cooperation with Community Police
The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, in cooperation with the Community Police, organized a workshop titled "For a Drug-Free Homeland."
The activity featured Major Muntadhar Kadhim Ne'ma from the Community Police, who detailed the devastating impact of drugs and psychotropic substances on vital body systems. He also addressed the methods used to lure victims and the legal consequences under Law No. 50 of 2017.
The session, supervised by Lecturer Najla Al-Saffar, aimed to shield students against this dangerous pandemic. As pharmacy students possess specialized knowledge, they are vital advocates for public health and essential in educating the community about the risks of substance abuse.
