Dr. Hamsa Hussain Khairallah Publishes Research on Potent Anti-Cancer Thiazolidine Derivatives in "ChemistrySelect"
Dr. Hamsa Hussain Khairallah, a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, has published a research paper in the European journal ChemistrySelect (Impact Factor: 2.8, Scopus-indexed).
The study explores the synthesis and characterization of a novel series of Thiazolidine amide derivatives using FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The research highlights the potent biological activity of these compounds against prostate cancer (PC-3) cells and various fungal strains.
Complementing the experimental work, a computational POM/DFT molecular docking study was conducted to validate the theoretical efficacy of the compounds. This research paves the way for developing advanced therapeutic agents for oncology and antimicrobial treatments.
