The President of the University of Basrah, **Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim**, announced the Ministry of Higher Education's approval regarding the transfer of students from the College of Education in Qurna to other administrative education colleges.
The transfer regulations permit students to move between colleges that are separated by a minimum distance of **100 kilometers**. Dr. Kadhim noted that applications must be processed manually (on paper) for one week, commencing **September 10, 2024**, in strict accordance with the official directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This measure is part of the ministry's efforts to ease the logistical burdens on student households while maintaining academic rigor across national universities.
