College of Pharmacy Holds Solidarity Vigil in Support of the Palestinian People
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a large solidarity vigil on Wednesday morning, with participation from faculty, staff, and students, condemning acts of aggression against the Palestinian people.
The event commenced with a recitation of Surat Al-Fatiha in honor of the martyrs, followed by national chants echoing Arab and Islamic unity. Prof. Dr. Dawood Jalloub Hillel emphasized in his official speech that Palestine remains a core pillar of our human and Islamic identity, highlighting the imperative of academic and institutional support during these historical times.
The participants lauded the heroism and sacrifices displayed by the resistance, reaffirming the college’s commitment to standing in solidarity with the defenders of justice and sovereignty.
