The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Basrah Dr. Falah Hasan Shri, attended the ceremony held by the World Health Organization on the occasion of the opening of the official office of the organization in the southern region.
 And Dr. Falah said: This office is important for the southern region in Iraq through cooperation with the health departments, supporting the health system, health security, and confronting epidemics, natural disasters, and air and water pollution.
 Shri added: The ceremony was attended by the representative of the Director of the Southern Region, Dr. Awatef Al-Aqabi, Dr. Ahmed Zwaitah, representative of the delegation, Representative Dhurgham Al-Ajoudi, Representative Jamal Al-Muhammadawi, Assistant President of the University of Basrah Professor Dr. Ali Hamidi, in addition to the Director General of Basra Health, where they also discussed how to address solutions to health and environmental problems.  facing Basra Governorate.
