The Dean of the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah Prof. Falah Hassan Shari, participated with the delegation of the University of Basrah in the Oscars in Japan, after the University of Basrah was nominated for two Oscars.  Higher Education in Asian Universities
 The University of Basrah was nominated among eight universities out of 600 Asian universities in the list of Asian universities, which was held at Fujita Medical University in Nagawa, Japan.  His Excellency the Iraqi ambassador in Tokyo, Mr. Abdul Karim Kaab, as well as the presence of a representative of the local government, the Administrative Deputy of the Governor of Basrah, Dr. Durgham Al-Ajwadi.
 It is reported that the University of Basrah has achieved many scientific achievements during the last three years, including the significant progress of its position in many international classifications, as well as its manufacture of a number of devices and equipment that have effectively contributed to saving the lives of citizens during the Corona pandemic, such as the manufacture of the carrier medium for virus samples in college laboratories.  Pharmaceuticals as well as respirator manufacturing.
