The Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, met with the accompanying Iraqi delegation, headed by the President of The University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq within the delegation's visit to Japan.
 Shari said: The meeting of the Iraqi delegation with His Excellency the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Japan, Mr. Abdul Karim Al-Kaabi, was a friendly and cooperative meeting in which we discussed the mechanism of cooperation of the Iraqi Embassy in Japan with the University of Basrah and the most important thing that was agreed upon was to attract talent and obtain research fellowships for all humanitarian and scientific disciplines at the university  .
 He continued: At the end of the meeting, His Excellency the Ambassador was honored by the head of the delegation, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, thanking him for his efforts in serving the country.
