Students from Faculty of Pharmacy publish papers in international journal 

The teaching staff published researcher Walaa Nassif Jassim in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. Asra Jassim Harfsh in the Faculty  Information technology research entitled "Distinguishing the normal and unusual activities of humans by applying both methods KNN & DT in JATIT, Pakistan, with an impact factor (0.16 SJR) and within the classification Scobas. The researcher explained through her research that the great development that has occurred in technology in recent times
Led to the need to develop the system of distinguishing human activities in the video, which is one of the most important areas of computer  Vision so we introduced in this research system to help people with health problems and stay for a while  Long on their own at home, especially the elderly. In our research, three common cases were identified: walking,  Eating, drinking and six unusual cases (headaches, vomiting, fainting, renal colic, intestinal colic, Angina) by video surveillance of these cases has been selected from everyday life. Department of Labor to  Three steps we used in the first step, the iterative thresholding method to separate the background from the front. In each frame (image) video, the second step is to extract the adjectives and we used four techniques which are (STIP, DWT,SURF and Radon transform) in addition to integrating some ways to improve performance,  The third step has been the use of knn and Desion Tree methods to distinguish and clear the situation is normal. When the system recognizes one of the six unusual cases mentioned above The alarm step is activated by sending an SMS email to the concerned person concerned in the patient's case. So that he can help the patient immediately. "The usefulness of the research is to help people who stay.  Alone at home to rescue them in the event of any of the unusual cases mentioned.
