The lecturer at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, Assistant Professor Dr. Labid Abdullah Najm, gave a scientific lecture entitled “The Defensive Response of Plants” at the scientific workshop organized by the College of Agricultural Engineering at the University of Baghdad
 The lecture included a detailed explanation about the role of the basic RNA in regulating the mechanisms of the plant's defense response when the pathogen attacked it. The workshop included two other axes. The first included the mechanical defenses of the plant, which was covered by Prof. Halima Zughayer Hussein/College of Agricultural Engineering/University of Baghdad.  The workshop also included the side of the biochemical defenses of plants, which was covered by Prof.  Muhammad Hamza Abbas / College of Agriculture / University of Basrah
