 The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on selenium with the participation of researchers and specialists
 The seminar included a lecture given by graduate student Sahar Muayyad Nouri, a study on selenium, which is one of the types of minerals and elements that the body needs in the manufacture of natural antioxidants, and it is usually found naturally in some types of foods.
 The study aimed to manufacture a new compound containing selenium to study its action as an antibiotic
  And the study of its toxicity outside the body through a group of laboratory rats given paracetamol to cause damage to the liver and trying to protect the body from this damage by giving it the newly manufactured compound and then measuring the level of antioxidants to know the effectiveness of this substance in reducing paracetamol damage
