The Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled (The Role of Topical Therapy Dapsone Gel in the Treatment of Acne) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The panel discussion included a lecture given by Assistant Lecturer Rania Odeh Ali, in which she dealt with the method and mechanism of action of Dapsone gel in the treatment of mild to moderate acne through its effectiveness in inhibiting the action of bacteria and its effectiveness in reducing the secretion of anti-inflammatory drugs (neutrophils, prostaglandins and leukotriene) in addition to presenting the results of recent research related to the topic with this treatment.
