The Clinical Laboratory Sciences Department at the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah organized a panel discussion entitled (The Relationship Between Calcium and Vitamin D Levels in the Blood with Insulin Resistance and Beta-Cell Dysfunction in Type 2 Diabetes Patients) with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The workshop included a lecture given by Zaman Rashid Hashem, a graduate student, in which she conducted a study on three groups of patients with type 2 diabetes, susceptible and healthy people.
The effect of vitamin D on regulating blood sugar and reducing future diabetes rates was concluded.
