The College of Pharmacy holds a panel discussion on drugs and their impact on society

 The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah held a panel discussion entitled (Drugs are a pest to the individual and society), with the participation of researchers and specialists.
 The episode included a lecture delivered by Brigadier General Basem Ghanem Hanoun, Director of the Relations and Media Department at the Basrah Police Directorate. In his lecture, he addressed the danger of the drug scourge on Iraqi society, especially the youth group, and analyzed its causes and ways to reduce them, and discussed ways and mechanisms of cooperation between state institutions and society, especially between the Basra Police Directorate and Basra University to combat  This is a serious pest
 Statistics have also been presented showing that abuse in universities and among educated groups is much less than groups with primary education or less.
 The lecture also touched on the types of medicines sold in pharmacies and used as narcotics and how pharmacists deal with them
 The workshop recommended coordinating with Basra University and the local police to set up an electronic platform for addicts that would allow them to register for treatment and avoid legal prosecution.
