The College of Pharmacy sets up a medical detachment to provide medicines and treatments to those walking to Karbala

The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah contributed to the service of the marchers to the holy Karbala on foot by setting up a medical detachment and providing medicines, treatments and medical examinations to the marchers to Karbala and the participants in the forty days of Imam Al-Hussein (peace be upon him). At the head of the medical detachment convoy was the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan.

Shari stated that the detachment was equipped with all the medicines and medical supplies that were collected and donated by a number of pharmacy college’s members and employees to support the detachment, as they provided many first aids to the visitors of Imam Hussain, a wonderful humanitarian service represented by distributing medicines and medical supplies needed by the visitor during the march.

He continued, "The detachment also provided support to the Husseiniya processions and the security forces stationed in the city of Al-Batha to serve and secure the marchers to the direction of the free."
