A faculty member staff at the College of Pharmacy receives an internationally accredited certificate in Clinical Nutrition.

Professor Dr. Falah Hassan Shri, a professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, obtained an international diploma in clinical nutrition through his participation in a training course organized by the American International Medical Association and approved by the Mandatory Training Authority of the Egyptian Ministry of Health. Dr. Falah said: The course lasted for two consecutive months and included 12 lectures on children's nutrition, which is one of the basic tasks that parents must take care of to ensure the healthy growth of their children. Here comes the doctors' responsibility to design a nutritional program for each child individually in line with his age and nutritional needs, in addition to Basic nutrition, nutrition for pregnant women, infants and children, as well as appropriate food for the treatment of obesity, sports nutrition, clinical nutrition for patients with chronic diseases, and other important and necessary axes for the health of the individual.
