University of Basrah held  a seminar about Renal stones.
College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah organized a seminar entitled (kidney stones) presented by pharmacist Doaa Qasim Sabeeh. The seminar included an explanation of renal stones  which occur due to different reasons such as decreased fluid intake during the day and lack of citrate salts in the urine as well as a result of eating more foods containing large quantities of oxalates .It also explained the types of renal stones such as calcium oxalate stones ,uric acid stones and genetic stones such as Cyshine stones .
At the end of the seminar there was emphasis on the methods that may prevent the  formation of renal stones such as healthy life style ,healthy food ,drink ,increase beverage and decrease salt intake .
