Assistant Professor Dr. Labid Abdullah Najm, a teaching assistant at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, participated in the scientific conference held by the University of Anbar, in cooperation with Salah al-Din University in Erbil, under the title (International collaborative Conference on Modern Agricultural Technologies), with the participation of researchers and specialists. Where Al-Saad participated in a paper entitled (Evaluation of the Performance of ImageJ, Leaf Doctor Applications, and Visual Assessments in Measuring Severity of Two Leaf Spot Diseases). The research included estimating the severity of infection for two pathogens and on two different plants using three methods, the first is direct estimation with the naked eye and the second using ImageJ program, where the digital images of the affected plant leaves are processed and the affected area is determined based on the color contrast and its percentage is calculated from the total area of the leaf, from which the damage percentage is extracted Likewise, the Leaf Doctor program, an application that works on I phone devices, uses the device’s camera to take pictures, and the application analyzes them, extracts the ratio of the damaged area to the total area, and calculates the percentage of damage. The aim of the research is to determine the best software in terms of ease and accuracy to estimate the severity of infection with pathogens to accurately manage the treatment process, and to compare the methods of digital image analysis with the traditional method for measuring the severity of plant infestation with spot pathogens. The performance of two digital image analysis programs, ImageJ and Leaf, was compared. Doctor and check how close their performance is to the traditional method of estimating the severity of the injury
