Two professors from the University of Basrah publish research in an international journal within Scopus indexes 

 

 The two faculty members at the College of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Falah Hassan Shari and Prof. Dr. Osama Hamid, published a paper entitled (The Effect of Antioxidants on Electrolytes in Rabbits Caused by Vancomycin-Steptozotocin) in the Indian Journal of Forensic Medicine & Toxicology and within Scopus containers.  Diabetes is a metabolic disease characterized by a relative or absolute deficiency of insulin, and diabetic kidney disease (DKD) appears to be one of the most common complications of diabetes.  Diabetic kidney disease has been known as diabetic nephropathy (DN) and is the single strongest predictor of mortality in diabetic patients  The aim of the research is to use antioxidants as an adjunct therapy to reduce and prevent diabetic kidney disease.
