The  university of basrah  ,College of Pharmacy  held a viva exam  of M.Sc. candidate Reham Adnan Taha .
       College of Pharmacy at the  university of basrah  presented a master thesis final seminar entitled:(Isolation, manufacture and evaluation of the biological activity of quercetine derivatives) by M.Sc. student  Reham Adnan Taha. The study included isolation of querstine from Iraqi onion peel, in addition to quercetine derivatives that were prepared in vitro and diagnosed by various laboratory techniques as well as  by theoretical bases .
The seminar also discussed the biological activities,antioxidant ,anti-bacterial and anti-cancer type (TNBC) in addition to the theoretical study of anti-cancer effectiveness Using molecular docking technology. As summery, the study found that quercetine derivatives have stronger anti-cancer activities than those of quercetine itself. They showed high antibacterial activity against gram negative bacteria E.coli.
