A faculty member staff at the College of Pharmacy participates in a workshop on effective communication skills.

Assistant Professor Dr. Layla Jasim, a faculty member staff at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, participated in the workshop held by the IFAD Scientific Platform for Researchers, entitled (Effective Communication Skills), with the participation of researchers and specialists. The workshop included a lecture delivered by coach Bashar Al-Hamid from Syria, which included several axes, including positivity and smiling in the face of others, which have a great impact in solving problems, in addition to how to interact and participate in life events and various activities. Dealing with all circumstances in a team spirit, for example, the family and its components. The leader of this team is the head of the family and the mother helps him, as well as the employee empties his duties. Every employee should devote his head to his duties, and every employee must devote his head to the task for which he is directed and not mix things with each other until he completes his task to the fullest. The workshop also discussed the topic of the mentality of the intelligent and the mentality of the wise. The mentality of the wise is better than the mentality of the intelligent because the intelligent may need a longer time to accomplish a task, while the wise relies on the ideas of the intelligent and asks the intelligent to carry out a task. The lecturer gave advice to the attendees when seeking advice, it should be taken from the specialists and the positive ones, not the negative ones (spiteful), and not to take it or ask for it also from loving people who do not have good experience in the subject.
