Believing in the necessity to provide the support, attribution and guidance for postgraduate students, the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah and in the presence of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Assistant Professor Dr. Falah Hasan Sharri ,presented an orientation lecture for postgraduate students admitted to study for masters in the academic year 2020/2021 And the scientific assistant of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Miqdad Al-Hajjaj, said in a speech that he gave: The aim of this lecture was to explain an introductory brief on the nature of the study and the study materials and to clarify the administrative procedures and scientific materials and students' expectations about postgraduate studies and what the professor needs from a graduate student and how the graduate student behaves. Al-Hajjaj added: We also heard the problems that students may suffer from during the study period from providing adequate housing and coordinating with the professors to arrange the weekly study schedule. It is also worth noting that we have added a new subject for postgraduate students, which is (personal and professional development program), which is a subject of the self and professional development program, which gives students a set of skills such as academic reading and academic writing skills, how the student gives a lecture in front of the listeners and how to use the scientific equipment that he needs during His academic career, as well as the student’s relationship with the supervisor, as well as how to write a master’s thesis and extract the correct information from the Internet and many things that the student needs during his studies, and this subject is studied and relied upon in international countries because it gives skills to graduate students to complete the requirements for obtaining a master’s degree in pharmacy For his part, Dr. Falah Hasan Sharri said fully prepared to assist students in any problem that they may face during their academic career, especially in light of the spread of the Corona epidemic and the need to adhere to preventive measures and to be keen on selecting research topics that benefit society in order to develop graduate studies to keep pace with international universities and the labor market.
