A lecturer in the College of Pharmacy publishes a research in an international journal within Scopus

The lecturer at the College of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Rita Sabah Elias has published a paper entitled (Synthesis and cytotoxicity of some aryl esters substituted with benzocumarine gluconate and aryl amide derived from benzocumarin in the German magazine Zeitschrift für Naturforschung B with an impact factor of 0.961 and within Scopus The research included the preparation of two series of compounds. The first one included the preparation of four derivatives of aryl esters substituted with benzocumarine gluconate while the second series also included the preparation of four aryl amide derivatives from benzocumarin as well as studying the cytotoxicity in the laboratory using two types of cancer cells, namely human prostate cancer (PC-3 cell lines) and human liver epithelium cancer (WRL-68) in addition to a computer study using the Molecular Docking method to demonstrate the nature of the association between the cytochrome P450 17A1 prostate cancer protein receptor as one of the therapeutic targets of prostate cancer and some compounds prepared. The aim of the research is to develop new compounds that act as inhibitors of the receptor for the prostate cancer protein Cytochrome P450 17A1
