College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah organized a seminar on the development and characterization of nanoparticles by injection that contain diazepam (Valium) . The seminar was introduced by the pharmacist Muhannad Salah Hamzah Al-Radi The seminar discussed explaining the formulation and evaluation of diazepam as a nanoparticle system to overcome the problems related to patient discomfort upon intravenous administration and ease of dilution with distilled water or intravenous fluids in the hospital's emergency department. This method is considered the best way to prepare diazepam and get rid of the problems associated with diazepam administration Intravenous as well as easily mixed with intravenous solutions. The seminar also discussed an attempt to develop the best method for preparing diazepam for nanomaterials using two methods, the first is based on the principle of emulsification and the second is based on the principle of micell in its dry state.
