Students from the University of Basrah have achieved remarkable success in the second national session of the "Higher Education Reading Prize," securing elite positions among over 1,300 contestants from across Iraq.
The award-winning students-**Nur al-Huda Hussam Jihad**, **Abdullah Majid Asghar**, and **Maysam Ahmed Kadhim**-excelled in critical analysis of the prescribed literature, demonstrating exceptional depth of thought. Nur al-Huda secured the 6th national rank, followed by Abdullah at 8th, and Maysam at 32nd, representing the university's intellectual prowess.
University President **Professor Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kadhim** remarked that this achievement reflects the institution's commitment to cultivating knowledge and critical thinking. The winners will be honored with cash prizes totaling 100 million Iraqi Dinars, with top participants receiving up to 4 million Dinars each to celebrate their cultural and scientific excellence.
