The President of the University, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazim, directed the effective contribution to serving the visitors of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) during his meeting with the officials of the university service procession.
The President of the University stressed the mobilization of the university's service and human capabilities to provide logistical and technical services and set up a procession at the (Shalamcheh) crossing and at the gate of the (Karmat Ali) college complex to provide services to the crowds of visitors heading to the holy Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and provide everything the visitor needs during his journey due to the difficult weather conditions in light of the high temperatures and the difficulty of the road, in addition to strengthening the mechanisms for transporting visitors to reflect an image of solidarity and integration between the university and society required by the message of Ashura and its eternal humanitarian goals.
The university president added that the University of Basrah , in cooperation with the Basra Health Department, has set up a medical detachment at the Shalamcheh border crossing to provide medical services to incoming visitors.
