The College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah conducted the competitive examination for postgraduate applicants in various college departments for the academic year 2024/2025, on Tuesday morning, July 9th.
The Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Jubran Khalil Hassan, stated that the total number of applicants for Master's studies reached (73 students) for admission in specializations including General Pharmacy, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy, and Pharmacology and Toxicology, with four seats allocated for general admission and four seats for private expense.
Prof. Dr. Jubran added: "All educational and logistical conditions were prepared for the success of the competitive exam, which was held in a scientific atmosphere of fair competition among all applicants from various Iraqi provinces."
The competitive examination is a foundational element in selecting candidates, aiming to identify scientific talents capable of pursuing academic research and advancing the health and pharmaceutical sectors in Basrah and Iraq as a whole.
