Important Clarification Regarding Accreditation Mechanisms for English Proficiency Tests for Postgraduate Applicants

The Deanship of the College of Pharmacy officially issues a crucial clarification originating directly from the Postgraduate Studies sector, meticulously detailing the structural mechanisms for accrediting English proficiency certificates (specifically IELTS alongside the Unified National Test) strictly in accordance with designated academic specializations and recent ministerial decrees.

With authoritative reference to the official circular regarding the Unified National English Proficiency Test (Ref: B.T 5/1744, issued on 12/02/2024), and in direct correlation with the preceding circular stipulating the IELTS examination requirements (Ref: B.T 5/3876, dated 17/05/2023), please be explicitly advised that the stringent IELTS mandate remains applicable exclusively to the specific disciplines of (Medical Sciences, Engineering, and Applied Sciences). This directive categorically does not extend to encompass other academic fields.

Consequently, previously issued and demonstrably valid standard English proficiency certificates (which inherently carry a recognized validity period of two years) will remain reliably accredited for prospective applicants originating from all other non-exempted specializations. This provisional accreditation will critically remain in effect up to the exact publication date of the definitive circular concerning the Unified National Test, which serves as the regulatory threshold. All prospective applicants are firmly directed to meticulously take the necessary administrative measures to guarantee the absolute compliance of their applications with these explicitly defined standards.
