Professor Dr. (Falah Hassan Shari), a distinguished faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, University of Basrah, participated in the specialized international workshop on "Scientific Research and its Role in achieving Environmental Management Systems," organized by the Scientific Events Portal in Malaysia.
The workshop program facilitated a series of scientific lectures discussing the centrality of scientific research in protecting ecosystems and its fundamental role in safeguarding humanity from the climate crises and catastrophes facing countries globally, particularly developing nations. Participants prominently highlighted the negative impacts of these crises on the survival of living organisms and resource sustainability on Earth, emphasizing that neglecting sound environmental management today constitutes a direct violation of the rights of future generations, leaving them with a depleted environmental legacy.
The session primarily aimed to disclose the effectiveness of applying scientific research in formulating sound environmental management policies and adopting "Green Environment" concepts in alignment with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The workshop concluded with the formulation of strategic recommendations aimed at improving overall environmental performance and activating research tools to diagnose and resolve complex environmental challenges, thereby ensuring global life system stability and improved quality of life.
