A faculty member at the College of Pharmacy participates in an international workshop on academic writing

Professor Dr. Falah Hassan Shari, participated in an international workshop on academic writing. The workshop included a discussion of the ideal standards for academic writing, as the style differs from one topic to another, but academic writing clearly differs from the style written in newspapers or novels. Academic writing is also characterized by a set of characteristics that distinguish it from other types of writing, which the student must take into account and adhere to because it will contribute to achieving the desired goals, and the most important of them is the audience, because academic writing is written for a specific audience, so the audience’s expectations from the task must be understood and recognized. Written academic notes, whether they are (notes, summaries, articles, reports, or scientific research), in addition to taking into account their previous knowledge and experiences, because this will directly or indirectly affect the written content and the way it is organized and presented.
