Pharmacy Faculty Member Participates in WHO International Workshop on Life-Saving Interventions and Trauma Management

 

Professor Dr. (Falah Hassan Shri), a faculty member at the University of Basrah's College of Pharmacy, participated in a strategic workshop organized by the WHO, the ICRC, and the International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM).

The workshop focused on rapid intervention mechanisms to save lives in cases of critical injuries and conflicts, providing high-quality emergency care for patients suffering from complex trauma. The sessions included advanced practical aspects in dealing with penetrating injuries, blast injuries, and burns, following the latest systematic global protocols for initial assessment and time-sensitive management.

This participation is part of the University of Basrah's effort to enhance the skills of its academic and medical staff in crisis management, transferring international expertise to national health and educational institutions to ensure the elevation of emergency medical services in Iraq.

This collaboration with international organizations represents a fundamental step toward achieving scientific and professional integration in the disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences and advanced emergency medicine.
