The University of Basrah rehabilitated and operated the dairy products manufacturing plant in the College of Agriculture, with direct support from the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi.
The Dean of the College of Agriculture, Professor Dr. Raghdan Al-Sharaa, stated that
The dairy products manufacturing plant affiliated with the Food Research and Consumer Protection Unit at the College of Agriculture has been rehabilitated and operated, including yoghurt and cheese, which are subject to laboratory tests in accordance with Iraqi standard specifications.
Al-Sharaa added: The current production capacity is 120 kg
It can be expanded to three tons per day if large tanks are connected. The product is also offered in special marketing outlets at the College of Agriculture, including the Bab Al-Zubair outlet.
