The College of Pharmacy has launched the indoor futsal tournament, which bears a name dear to its academic family: "The Late Hassan Razzaq Abdul Ali Tournament," in memory of one of the college's departed students.
Dr. (Sanaa Jawad Al-Mayyah), Head of the Student Activities Division, stated that the tournament was organized under the patronage of the Dean, Prof. Dr. (Gibran Khalil), and under direct supervision to promote sportsmanship. The matches are following a double-elimination format, with the opening day featuring competitive encounters between 4th vs 2nd year and 1st vs 5th year teams.
This athletic initiative serves to embody social solidarity within the college, merging student activities with humanitarian and health messages. It affirms the role of sports in enhancing physical and mental health and strengthening brotherly ties between different academic levels in this prestigious institution.
The Deanship wishes all participating teams success, praying for the late student's soul to rest in peace, and hoping the tournament concludes with the highest standards of sportsmanship.
