In collaboration with the Women Empowerment Division and Basrah Health Department, the College launched the "Because You Deserve It" strategic seminar, affirming that awareness and early detection can raise recovery rates to over 95%.
Dr. (Zainab Kamel Dhahi) reviewed the critical importance of the five integrated early detection centers in Basrah hospitals (Women and Children, Teaching, Al-Mawani, Al-Sadr, and Al-Sayyab), emphasizing the necessity of periodic screening to combat the world's most prevalent cancer. Additionally, Dr. (Ayman Kazem Jamil) addressed risk factors and prevention, providing detailed explanations of self-examination mechanisms and advanced diagnostic tools such as ultrasound and X-ray.
Modern Therapeutic Trends:
The seminar shed light on advanced surgical techniques such as **Conservative Mastectomy** and effective lymph node removal, ensuring the preservation of the patient's quality of life. It also confirmed the availability of all modern diagnostic means at the Basrah Health Department centers, supported by senior management.
The seminar concluded with a massive call for women of all age groups to commit to comprehensive periodic testing. This ensures detection in the initial stages, leading to full recovery before the disease spreads, embodying the College's mission to protect lives and build a healthy, aware society.
