The College of Pharmacy discusses the effect of lipid-soluble antioxidants

A master’s thesis at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah discussed (the effect of lipid-soluble and water-soluble antioxidants on liver biochemical indicators in rats that were fed high-fat diets)

The goal of the study by researcher Ali Abdul Hussein Khalifa was to evaluate the protective effects of different combinations of different physical properties of antioxidant agents on liver biomarkers such as liver function testing, oxidative biomarkers, and lipid profile testing.
The different antioxidants used in different groups in the third treatment group were the water-soluble antioxidants Vitamin C and L-Carnitine and the lipid-soluble antioxidants Ubiquinone and alpha lipoic acid given orally in the fourth group.
