The College of Pharmacy holds an electronic seminar on sulfa drugs

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Branch at the College of Pharmacy at University of Basrah held a seminar (preparation, diagnosis and study of the biological effectiveness of some sulfa drug derivatives) a lecture given by the lecturer Mustafa Muhammad Husayn al-Hakim. The seminar included the preparation of two types of compounds derived from sulfa drugs, which are shiff base compounds and tetrazol compounds, and a study of the biological effectiveness of anticancer and anti-bacterial agents, and the results were compared with the drugs on the market, where the study showed that the prepared compounds have promising efficacy as anti-cancer and anti-bacterial, and the study recommended By conducting experiments to measure the toxicity and stability of compounds, as well as complementary clinical studies to determine the extent of their application as drugs in the market.
