Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi chaired an expanded meeting with the Deans of the Bab Al-Zubair campus colleges, directors of the Follow-up, Media, and Women’s Empowerment departments, as well as the students' dormitories, to continuously follow up on the latest security developments.
The meeting included reviewing the health progress of student Zainab Karim from the College of Education for Women, who is recovering favorably after suffering minor superficial stab wounds. A high-level delegation from the University of Basrah Council visited her to check on her safety and well-being.
Furthermore, the meeting discussed solidifying the security plan at the campus and investigating the breaches that led to the incident. They approved the immediate upgrading of the surveillance camera systems, emphasized the strict necessity of updating the database for student and university staff IDs, and decided to reconsider the vehicle access permits granted.
