A faculty member at the College of Pharmacy participated in a workshop at Thi Qar University on chromatography techniques.

Assistant Professor Dr. Hussein Nasser Al-Salman, from the College of Pharmacy at the University of Basrah, participated in the workshop on the basics of gas chromatography technology organized by the Department of Animal Production in the College of Agriculture and Marshlands at Thi Qar University in collaboration with the College of Pharmacy. Al-Salman gave a lecture on the components of the GC and GC-MASS devices, their mechanisms of operation, their advantages and disadvantages, and various laboratory applications of these devices in different fields, such as organic chemical analysis of many organic compounds, pharmaceutical analysis of drug compounds, as well as analysis of plant extracts and industrial, agricultural, and medical applications.
