University of Basrah Completes Vital Road Expansion Project to Alleviate Traffic Congestion at Karma Ali Complex
Under the diligent guidance and direct supervision of the President of the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, the university's engineering and technical cadres have completed one of this year's most significant service projects: the expansion and asphalt paving of vital roads extending from the Bani Sakin area to the new gate of the Karma Ali Complex.
The project involved broadening the roadway, paving it with high-quality asphalt, and organizing it according to standard traffic regulations to eliminate the bottlenecks that hindered the movement of staff, students, and citizens during official working hours. This achievement is a strategic step in developing infrastructure and ensuring smooth vehicle access to the campus, significantly reducing operational burdens.
Faculty members and students, alongside the local Basrah community, have praised this vital initiative, highlighting the university's rapid response to infrastructure needs. This project underscores the university's leading role in implementing essential service projects that benefit both the university personnel and the general public, aligned with the prestige of this venerable academic institution.
