A faculty member at the College of Pharmacy participates in a workshop on treating behavioral problems

Prof. Dr. Dawood Glubb Halil, participated in the workshop organized by the Center for Development and Continuing Education at the University of Basrah under the title (Positive Behavior Support (PBS) in treating behavioral problems of children and adolescents) with the participation of researchers and specialists
The aim of the workshop is to provide an introductory overview of the positive behavior support approach
  PBS and its use in the treatment of common behavioral problems in normal children and those with special needs
The workshop included the applied approach in psychology, managing and modifying behavior, basic procedures in behavior modification, axes for dealing with behavioral problems from A to Z, supporting positive behavior from inception to the future, how it works effectively and when the behavioral problem calls for intervention, and punitive schools are directed PBS Positive Behavior Support
In the end, the recommendation was to use the PBS positive behavior support approach in schools, nurseries, rehabilitation and training centers for people with special needs, and in raising children from parents, and avoiding punitive methods in working with children and adolescents.
